Specifications

APJoint is an asphaltic plug bridge expansion joint as defined under UK DoT D33/94. The standard joint has the following movement capabilities:

1. Horizontal Movements : ±25mm
2. Vertical Movements : ±1mm

The binder used in the construction of an asphaltic plug joint must have the following characteristic:-

1. Flexible in cold condition
2. Stable in hot conditions
3. Flow resistant

1. Softening Point Test: 100°C – 120°C
2. Flash Point Test: >230°C

The stone ranges from 14-20mm in size. It is clean, dry and pre-bagged. It has a minimum polished stone value (PSV) of 49, and a maximum flakiness index of 25.
